Review: The Rapture of the Deep by Michael Zinsley

Taking a break from dive accident books... lol.

I enjoyed this book. It was a lot like The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific, although with a serious focus on diving, more like Diary of Dirtbag Divemaster (written by Southern Cross Club's Terry!). When comparing it to The Sex Lives of Cannibals, though, this one is not quite as funny but still is worth a read if you love either diving or the tropics. Mike Zinsley tells plenty of stories that show the good and the bad of diving. Sometimes, chapters explore the beauty and awesomeness of being a scuba diver. Other times, he talks about being a dive master and handling his customers and students (along with the crazy things they do!). This is a great book to take along to read on a dive vacation and I definitely recommend it.
