So, Friday (the 13th) when I was packing for Turks & Caicos I went searching all around and could not find the charger for my camera battery. I mean I searched the whole house, top to bottom. I've discussed that I have lost lots of things. This is not unusual. My camera is a Canon SD Elph, which means that it uses a proprietary Canon battery, not AAs or something. So, I couldn't just go use a different battery or charger.
Well, finally, at long last, I decided that the charger and my spare battery were exactly where I remember last seeing them - plugged into the outlet near the TV at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort in Disney World... March 23. Now, I've taken lots of photos since - at my grandmother's birthday in April and at running (I didn't take photos at the Frederick Half Marathon though). I don't specifically remember charging the battery since.
So, I went to Turks & Caicos with what was left of the charge in my battery. I was pretty conservative with the camera and didn't take many photos and it finally died the day before we went home.
So, this morning I called the Animal Kingdom Lodge's Lost and Found... and? It was turned in on March 29 (apparently it went unnoticed for a while). And they're sending it back to me via UPS free of charge!
This one was really good even for Disney standards!
