Our Christmas Tree

I love this idea from Lindsay, so I thought I would share our Christmas Tree. This is only the second year that we've put up a Christmas tree. We've always put lights up outside, just never a tree on the inside. Even now, our inside decorations are lacking because no one will likely see them except for us.

Let's start with the ornament that I made this year. It was an impulse buy at Michael's Crafts a few weeks ago (bargain price of $1 for the kit). Last weekend, I was in Florida visiting Todd's parents and I spent the weekend working on the cross stitch for this ornament. It turned out nice, and it's the first needlepoint project I've done in years. And, one of the very few that I've actually finished!

Pretty Wreath!

This one is an "our first Christmas together" ornament, except that it doesn't actually say that because I waited too long to buy one in 2009, and they were all sold out. So, this ornament is both a celebration of our marriage and our tendency to procrastinate.

Our First Christmas Together: 2009
This one came from my friends Nick and Mary's wedding. They were married in January, 2002.

Merry Wedding! Wait, no, MARY Wedding!
Of course, we have to have a Nemo ornament. This one was not cooperating when I was trying to get a photo.

Mr. Ray and the gang
This one is for donating to the Sea Turtle Conservancy.

Adopt a turtle this Christmas!
This one came from my trip to London in 2005. With Mary and Nick! Clearly, they are very important on our tree.

It's a Beefeater!

I have not one single running themed ornament. I only just realized this. So, if anyone wants to get me a running themed ornament, that would be great! :)

Here is our tree.  I realize it's not the traditional Christmas tree.

Somehow it seems appropriate to have a Beefeater on the palm tree.

It is a nice idea to realize a not traditional Christmas tree. Beautiful ornaments.
Happy Christmas to you and your family.
